Emotions

Today has been an emotional day for me. My emotions literally have been all over the spectrum. I have been happy, sad, annoyed, slightly irritated/mad, excited, nostalgic, and mellow. So much is on my mind and plate lately. I just keep praying for God to maintain my sanity or to give me sanity. All I know is that God has a lot to sort out and work out.

No Explanations (Isaiah 40:21-31)

The following is from One Year Alone With God by Ava Pennington.

His understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28 NIV

Have you ever heard someone say, "I could never believe a God who allows suffering, or who doesn't let everyone go to heaven, or_____"? Fill in the blank with a variety of objections. What they are actually saying is they refuse to believe in a God they do not understand.
Is it possible to understand God completely? His Word tells us no, and for that we should be glad. If we could understand everything about God, He would not be God, He would merely be an exalted human being.
Can we understand some things about God? Absolutely, He reveals His nature and His ways in Scripture. It is there we also learn who we are in relation to who He is.
The day will come when all our questions will be answered. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:12, "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face, now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. "
Until that day, we believe in and worship a God who does not owe us any explanations.

Lord, thank You that who You are does not depend on my understanding.

Is there something I don't understand about God that has interfered with my worship and obedience to Him? What will I do with this question today?
